Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger to be conferred Sierra Leonean Citizenship

Chelsea and Germany defender Antonio Rudiger will be conferred Sierra Leonean Citizenship by His Excellency the President Julius Maada Bio today. Antonio Rudiger was born to Sierra Leonean parents in Germany and plays for the German team.

During his  $101,000 to President Julius Maada Bio at the UK-Africa Investment summit in London in 2020,  Rudiger refers to Sierra Leone as his home.

"Sierra Leone is my home. I'm not the talking type of a person, I am about action," he told President Bio as he handed over the donation.

Adding,  "I am ready to take on my responsibility to change the narrative and image of Sierra Leone."

Rudiger arrived yesterday with potential investors.
