Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Russia, Mohamed Yongawo, called on Russian mining companies to explore investment opportunities in Sierra Leone, highlighting the country’s potential in the mining, energy, and tourism sectors.
Speaking at the Moscow International Mineral Processing Congress, held at the National University of Science and Technology (MISI), Ambassador Yongawo expressed gratitude to the event organizers, including the university and the Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources at the Russian Academy of Sciences, for facilitating discussions on global mining advancements.
Ambassador Yongawo assured potential investors of Sierra Leone’s favorable business climate, emphasizing strong security and government support for foreign investments. He encouraged Russian companies to explore opportunities for partnerships in the country’s growing extractive and energy industries.
The congress, a significant gathering of global mining experts and investors, provided a platform for Sierra Leone to showcase its resource potential and attract new investments from Russia’s well-established mining sector.
