The Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources, on Thursday, 13th February 2025, hosted a Performance Tracking Table (PTT) meeting at its conference room on the 5th floor of Youyi Building, Brookfield. The session, which started at 2:00 PM, was led by Mr Alhaji S. Bah, Principal Minerals Analyst and PTT Focal Person.
Mr. John D. Cooper, Director of Policy and Research, welcomed participants on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, emphasising the importance of the PTT process in enhancing accountability and efficiency within the ministry.
Mr. Alhaji S. Bah outlined three key performance instruments—Results-Based Management, Performance Management, and Precision and Accuracy. He stressed the need for improved service delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness in the ministry’s operations.
Mr. Abdulrahman Sowa, Director of Performance Management at State House, urged full attendance at PTT meetings, with proper documentation of participants. He also called for structured meeting guidelines and tracking mechanisms. PTT discussions should focus on measurable outputs, including capacity building, training, and technology-driven innovations to improve operations.
